27,556 words. Found some more bread crumbs! But it’s still slow-going. Winter has finally kicked in here in southern Alabama. It’s cold at night, cold in the morning, and cold all day. I have no right to complain really. Never thought I’d hear myself, a former southern California sunbunny (‘though not a native), say these words but summer was killing me with the oppressive wet heat (omg) and humidity, and I looked forward to the weather cooling off. Fall is a lovely season here, like spring. Spring is heavenly in Alabama. Now it’s winter, although not officially for 35 more days according to the Farmer’s Almanac.
I don’t know what I’m going to write tomorrow–never mind that I have a beat sheet and a detailed synopsis and character sketches. No matter how much pre-writing work I do, I don’t know enough. I sit down and stare at the screen and it stares back. Gosh darn it!
