Day 5

9,642 words. Slow start today, didn’t get to the writing until well after 10 a.m. and wasn’t sure what it would be. I hit a stumbling block, but no worries. I worked it out and wrote 1,691 words so still ahead of schedule. Yippety! The thought of falling behind terrifies me, though, during past Nano’s, I’m usually not ahead, usually barely keeping up with the daily requirement–although there was one exceptional year when I managed to write a lot during each session, yes it was a lot of garbage, but I’ve worked on that manuscript since then and managed to improve it, though it’s still not ready for prime time. My reward when I hit 10,000 words is to buy a new set of stickers for my bullet journal. Love sticker shopping! :))
