Yesterday driving home from work, I looked up and caught sight of the range of sky beyond the windshield. As the day melted into twilight, the sky was a silky blue expanse, smooth as new skin, overlaid with luminous pink organza clouds that were barely clouds at all. I’ve got that sky permanently saved in my memory. When I’m an old woman, I’m going to remember the look of that particular October sky at the end of a long day.
Tonight after I feed Levi and grab some kind of dinner, I’m going to sit with a ballon of red wine and brainstorm ideas for short stories of all kinds.
