gilded october

La Siene a Courbevoie, Georges Seurat

Another lovely October day–the air balmy, barely stirring, resting soft against the skin, the sun bright and hot, and the sky placid blue from horizon to horizon. The news says its the hottest October since 1965.

While I wait for the start of Nano–this year’s project is a fantasy novel–I’m spending these last few days of October with A Lamentation of Swans, just looking at it with a renewed sense of purpose and a great new approach to continue the writing, which I plan to do next year.

Eight and a half weeks until the end of this year! I believe Father Time has acquired warp drive.
