I’ve begun the November novel–temporarily titled Isabella. Only scant pages in, and I’ve no idea where I’m going. Thirty days of road lie in front of me through unknown country. I plan to have a good time.
I’m halfway through The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters and I’m really enjoying it.
My favorite of the “isabella” paintings is William Holman Hunt’s (posted below), but here’s another by Strudwick. I think Hunt’s best captures the spirit and pathos of this fifth tale from the Decameron.
